Description

This is a one-semester upper-level course in chemistry. The fundamental principles of analytical instrumentation will be described. Practical, real-world applications of these techniques will be explored in the laboratory. Topics will include electronics, optical spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, Fourier transforms, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, chromatographic methods and electoanalytical methods. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory.
